Experience Headlines: County Archaeologist within Denbighshire County Council, North East Wales 1996 until retirement in 2018. Developed heritage management projects such as long term conservation of Castell Dinas Brân; the Heather and Hillforts Landscape Partnership Scheme; Ran a Young Archaeology Club branch for 18 years, led many walks, talks and community activities; Denbighshire’s representative on the Steering Board developing the nomination for Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal WHS. Involvement in ALGAO (Association of Local Government Archaeological Officers) and Chaired this UK-wide group for a three year period in the latter part of my working life. Trustee, Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust and Gwynedd Archaeological Trust. 2019 awarded MBE for services to archaeology in Wales
Currently: Trustee for the Council for British Archaeology, Cambrian Archaeological Association, Chair of the Ruthin Castle Conservation Trust plus involvement in projects local to Ruthin. Undertake some work currently with Headland Consultancy looking at Museum Storage across Wales.
