Formerly: Planner / ecologist with Clwyd County Council, then field surveyor with the Nature Conservancy Council (NCC) and later district officer/ team leader for NCC, Countryside Council for Wales and Natural Resources Wales covering a wide portfolio from field survey, designation, site management and advocacy to planning advice on conservation, landscape and access etc. Expert witness at public inquiries. Several successful funding bids to Heritage Lottery fund and EU LIFe programme. Three years with WWF/IUCN Indonesia programme in West Papua and The Nature Conservancy in Sulawesi. Specialist Advisor (Lowland Heathland and Upland Habitats) with Natural Resources Wales covering all Wales. Trustee of Gwynedd Archaeological Trust.
Currently: Consultant ecologist.
