Heneb Heritage & Archaeology Day – Bannau Brycheiniog National Park
Join us in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park for a day of heritage and archaeology from mid and southeast Wales.
In collaboration with the Park Society, we are offering an exciting programme of speakers who will cover a range of projects from heritage management in a National Park landscape to conservation of the iconic masterpiece that is Tintern Abbey, with plenty in between.
If the industrial period is more your thing, we’ll also be hearing from professionals in the park on the intriguing network of tramroads and the fantastic community work that helps keep them cared for.
Our speakers will be around throughout the day alongside plenty of affiliated organisations with pop-up displays to answer your questions and help you get involved with your heritage.
We’re also offering a free guided walk from 4pm with the BBPS – learn about the Brecon/Monmouthshire canal and Brinore Tramroad!
Difficulty: Easy/moderate. Duration: 2 hours. Email [email protected] for more information and to book on. Limited to 16 spaces.
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and there is plenty of parking on site.
We really hope you can join us for what promises to be an enjoyable day celebrating the archaeological excavation, conservation, heritage management and community engagement which makes the National Park a vibrant celebration of culture and heritage.
Venue Sponsored by BBNPA.
