Heneb is thrilled to confirm our participation in the 2026 National Eisteddfod, which will take place in Pembrokeshire, marking the festival’s first return to the county in over two decades! The 2026 festival is particularly special as it celebrates 850 years since the first recorded Eisteddfod, held at Cardigan Castle in 1176.

This year’s Eisteddfod will be held on a site near Llantood, between Cardigan and Eglwyswrw, bringing communities together from Pembrokeshire, south Ceredigion, and Carmarthenshire as part of the festival’s three‑county catchment area.

The festival week itself will run 1–8 August 2026.

Heneb’s Presence at the Eisteddfod

Heneb will be participating throughout the week, celebrating:

  • Wales’ archaeological and cultural heritage
  • Community-led heritage engagement
  • The landscapes and stories of south‑west Wales

We’ll be sharing more about our activities, events, and opportunities as the festival approaches.

Stay Tuned

We’ll soon be announcing:

  • Our programme of talks, activities and outreach
  • Opportunities to meet the Heneb team
  • Ways for visitors of all ages to explore archaeology at the Eisteddfod

Please stay tuned for more information and full details coming soon – we hope to see you there!
