Alongside our excavations in Newtown our ‘Finds Lab’ will be open on certain days in the Oriel Davies Gallery, so please do call in and see us to learn more about the fascinating history of Newtown and to see what has been discovered so far!

We also have an open day on Saturday 19th July to coincide with the launch of the Festival of Archaeology. There will be displays in the Oriel Davies and in the town park, fun activities, heritage stalls and re-enactors. You can also come and see the archaeologists in action in our excavation trenches.
