This gazetteer brings together the results of a Cadw-funded survey of defended enclosures in Carmarthenshire. Compiled by Dyfed Archaeological Trust, it records hillforts, promontory forts, and smaller enclosures identified through field visits, aerial photography, and the Historic Environment Record. Each entry includes descriptions, maps, and photographs, providing an accessible record of these later prehistoric sites and their condition. The gazetteer adds significantly to our understanding of Iron Age settlement in the region and forms part of wider research into the defended landscapes of southwest Wales.
