This gazetteer brings together the results of a Cadw-funded survey of defended enclosures across Ceredigion, carried out in 2006. It provides a comprehensive record of known sites, including hillforts, promontory forts, and smaller defended enclosures. Each entry summarises the location, condition, and key characteristics of the monument, offering a valuable resource for understanding the later prehistoric landscape of the region. The gazetteer builds on earlier studies of defended settlements in Wales and contributes to the wider programme of research and protection of these important archaeological sites
