This project brings together surveys of historic churches in Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion as part of the wider Welsh Historic Churches initiative. Originally conceived as a database rather than a paper record, the work provides a consistent overview of church sites across both counties. The records, edited and corrected for accuracy, are deposited within the regional Sites and Monuments Record maintained by Cambria Archaeology with support from the Royal Commission. Together, they highlight the range, condition, and significance of historic churches, while also demonstrating the wider research potential of the database. Updated information continues to be added through regional and national records, as well as the Church in Wales’s own archives.
