This booklet explores the lasting impact of the First World War on Wales, from training camps, defences, munitions factories and hospitals to prisoner-of-war camps and memorials. Drawing on research by the four Welsh Archaeological Trusts, it highlights how the war transformed both the lives of Welsh communities and the landscapes around them.
