As part of a Cadw-funded pan-Wales study of Roman forts and roads, fluxgate gradiometer surveys were carried out at Trawscoed and Llanio Roman forts. Conducted by Gwynedd Archaeological Trust on behalf of Cambria Archaeology, the work applied proven methodologies from earlier surveys in Gwynedd, Powys, and Dyfed, providing valuable new data on the character and extent of these important Roman military sites.
