Our volunteers have braved the elements at Trearddur burial chamber where a new interpretation is already emerging. Early finds in the midden deposit include branded bottles and even a partially-preserved shoe!

Our investigation has shown that this ‘burial chamber’ is in fact a menhir, or standing stone, similar to nearby Tŷ Mawr!

There is work yet to come at this iconic site as we strive to understand it better, so please subscribe to our newsletter and check-in on the website to keep up to date on our discoveries.
